Happy sushi days: review of Happy Maki, Brighton

I’m sure every vegan will be able to relate to the fact that when you decide to go on a trip, finding out where you can find vegan options can be a bit of a minefield when you’re not familiar with the country. Searching Google and asking in local groups for advice are typical ways for us to find what we need to know, but wouldn’t it be helpful if all this information was in one place, like Vegan Edinburgh for those who are visiting Edinburgh?

I’ve decided that I’m going to share where I’ve been and also share reviews of places I’ve visited in my travels (I’ll also have posts on Hong Kong and London still to come) and share them with you. Hopefully this will give you a bit of a starting point on finding places that might be of interest! A vegan journey to Grantham: review of The Recruiting Sergeant

I recently found myself with the OH and in-laws down south on a road trip. We were visiting a garage in Derbyshire and we stayed the night in nearby Grantham. The in-laws had travelled down this way before and had eaten at The Recruiting Sergeant and mentioned that the staff were very nice and when they phoned ahead to enquire, were very happy to accommodate a vegan.
