Mexican market dining: review of Wahaca, Edinburgh

It wasn’t that long ago, maybe a matter of months, that I read a notice about the exciting introduction of vegan options at Wahaca. I’ve passed by the bright fluorescent neon pink light of their logo at St Andrew’s Square in Edinburgh, but never knew what they had to offer.

Chain Mexican street food restaurant Wahaca offers a seasonal menu using fresh local as much as possible to recreate flavours from Mexico. With a South American vibe in decor, it’s hard not to feel happy and groovy when dining here.

Healthy alternatives with Andean Sol: a review of their chia oils

As far as oils for cooking and for salad dressings go, a lot of the vegetable based oils like vegetable, sunflower, peanut, olive and coconut, we have plenty of choice. There is no limit to the number of oils we can use as vegans. I don’t like to use too much oil as I feel it’s not something we necessarily need in our systems, but what if there was a healthier alternative for those of us who are more conscious about what we consume? It’s protein-packed comfort food time!

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to eat healthier and keep more balanced diet. I’ve managed to successfully wean out dairy milk and am quite happy with drinking Alpro soy or hazelnut milk.

The intsructor who teaches the BodyPump and BodyBalance classes I attend every Saturday morning posts useful information on health and fitness regularly and the most recent one was about protein shakes.
